Hi! I'm a writer, small business owner, creative director, and forever-recovering academic. I'm passionate about books, movies, teaching, Chicago architecture, and helping people tell their amazing stories.
You can see my past and current work linked below. I am currently writing a novel for adults and a screenplay.

I wrote a series of middle grade novels when I was fifteen years old that were published between 2009 and 2012. I also contributed to an anthology of letters from authors to their teenage selves.
I've delivered speeches and conducted writing workshops for thousands of students across the country, and taught writing-focused seminars as a graduate instructor at Harvard University.
I am the founder of Tome. Writing, an online toolkit of novel-writing resources that helps writers break down their creative barriers and actually get their novel on the page.
Previously, I was a PhD Candidate in Government at Harvard University, where I studied political psychology, political geography, urban politics, and race and ethnic politics. My work was covered in The New York Times and published in Social Science Quarterly.
